Sheraton Grand Shanghai Tai Ping Yang Hotel, 5 Zunyi Nan Road,
Shanghai. Meet Dr Mingie Guan of Nanjing Forestry University in
Hotel Lobby.
ii)
Host Dinner meeting with Dr. Mingie Guan Associate Researcher,
Bamboo Engineering Research Center, Nanjing Forestry University
and finalize plan of visit to various places near Shanghai.

Meeting with Consul General Mr. Vishnu Prakash at
Consulate.

Leave for visit to Shengda Bamboo Limited, Shanchang
Shengda Road, Situan Town, Fenxian District, and Shanghai.

Arrival and visit the Factory and hold discussion with
Mr. Yang, General Manager.
1400:
Departure by Train for Nanjing along with Dr Mingie Guan.
1700:
Arrival at Hotel Nanlin of the University of
Nanjing and shift to
hotel Sheraton Nanjing, 169, Hanzhong Road. Hold brief meeting
with the University Officials

Visit to Nanjing Bamboo Engineering Research Center and,
meeting with the head of the Institute and other Scientists on
Bilateral Co-operation on bamboo Industry and Technology.
Lunch
hosted by the BERC
Afternoon:Visit
Sunyat Sen Mausoleum and study the vegetation of Forests and
Eco-tourism opportunities.
Dinner
meeting hosted by the Vice-President ( VC) of the Nanjing
Forestry University and discussion with other senior officials
of the International Affairs Department

I)
Leave
for visiting Bamboo Forests and Bamboo value addition Factories
in Anji (Zhejiang) and return to Nanjing in the evening.
ii)
Host evening discussion meeting with the accompanying scientists
of BERC in hotel lobby and finalize contours of co-operation for
Bamboo development and livelihood for the people.

Forenoon:
Check out from the Hotel.
ii)
Meeting with the Nanjing University officials and visit the
demonstration forests of the University.
Iii)
Examine the facilities of Nanjing Forestry University for the
possible training of officers and technicians from India. Feed
back discussion with the head of the BERC
Afternoon:
Leave for Nanjing
Airport after
lunch and
board Flight
No MU 5792 at 1410 hrs for Kunming.
ii)Arrival
in Kunming and meet Mr. Shi Hongfei, Assistant Professor, Yunnan
Academy of Forestry at the Airport. Check in the Hotel Huazhou
hotel of the Forest Department and hold meeting with the senior
officers of the Yunnan Forestry Academy and finalized the
programme of field visit.

Forenoon:
Visit the office of the Director for Economic Institution
Academy of Social science and hold a workshop meeting with Dr
Kang Yunhai Director, Ms Xuan Yi, Vice-Director of Institute of
Economy, Ms Zhang Tiwei, Associate Professor, Institute of
Economy and other senior scientists on the forest management
practices, settlement of shifting cultivators and livelihood
opportunities for the people living in and around forest areas.
ii)
Host lunch meeting with the officers of the Academy
Afternoon:
Visit Yunnan Forestry Academy and hold workshop Meeting
with the senior officers of the Academy on the rehabilitation of
hill slopes and the socio-economic profile of the shifting
cultivators and other relevant issues on forestry.
ii)
Visit the Botanical Garden of the Forestry Academy
iii)
Attend the Dinner meeting with the Vice-Director and other
senior officers of the Academy in country side Eco-tourism spot
out side the Kunming city.

Leave
the hotel after Breakfast for the field visit to country side in
rural areas outside the Kunming city (50 Km) to study the
village condition and forestry practices in the villages.
ii)
Host lunch meeting with the officials of the Academy and local
people. Return back to Kunming in the afternoon.

hrs: i)
Leave for Beijing by Flight No MU 5701 and arrive at the
Beijing Airport at 11 am.
ii) Meet Indian Embassy official at the Airport and check
in The Kerry Central Hotel, Beijing.
iii) Hold detail meeting with the Embassy official on the
objectives of the visit and field programme in the hotel lobby.
Afternoon:
Finalization of the field visit trip with the Indian
Embassy officials
ii)
Attend Dinner meeting hosted by the Charge de Affairs Indian
Embassy Mr. Sanjay Verma, Counsellor Economic and Commercial and
Mr. Siddharth Nath, Second Secretary, Embassy of India.

hrs:Leave after Breakfast for the field visit organized by the
Beijing Forest Administration and see Agro-Forestry and
Eco-tourism Projects aiming at increasing the income of farmers
in Tongzou District.
ii)
Attend the lunch meeting hosted by the Deputy Governor of
Yongledian Township and hold discussion on forestry matters.
Return to Beijing in the afternoon.

hrs: Attend the Banquet
hosted by the Director General, Forest Department of People
Republic of China and hold discussion on the mutual bilateral
co-operation.

hrs: Leave the hotel for
Great Wall of China and to visit the surrounding forest areas.
ii)Hold
rap up discussion with the Indian embassy officials on the
visit.

for the Airport. Board Thai Airway Flight No TG 675 for Bangkok
and arrive Bangkok city at 1300 hrs. Check in Hotel Holiday inn.

hrs:Visit the biggest crocodile farm in the outskirt of Bangkok
and study the habitat management and Eco-tourism activities.

hrs:Departure for Airport and board Thai Airways Flight No TG
315 for Delhi.
