Rubber Mission
The Government of Tripura vide Notification no
F.17(226)/For-Dev/RMT/05-06/34101-46 dated January 21, 2006
has constituted Tripura Rubber Mission in the Forest
Department with the objectives to bring a total of 85,094 ha
land under rubber cultivation in the state in the next 20
years.
Tripura Rubber Mission shall have the mandate to coordinate,
monitor, plan, fund tie up, training and capacity building.
The Rubber Mission will be headed by the Additional Principal
Chief Conservator of Forests, Tripura as the Mission Director.
A Mission Coordinator will assist the Mission Director. The
Managing Director, TRPC is appointed as Mission Coordinator.
Other Mission Members are
1. Managing Director, TFDPC Ltd.
2. CEO, TTAADC
3. CCF (Nodal Officer, CFA)
4. Commissioner & Secretary, I&C Department.
5. Managing Director, TRPC
6. Rubber Production Commissioner, Rubber Board or his
representative.
A Steering Committee for Tripura Rubber Mission having
following members will oversee & monitor the implementation of
Rubber Mission Action Plan.
1. Chief Secretary Chairman
2. PCCF, Tripura Member
3. Commissioner & Secretary, Finance Deptt. Member
4. Commissioner & Secretary, Tribal Welfare Deptt Member
5. Commissioner & Secretary, I&C Deptt Member
6. Mission Director Member Secretary
An Advisory Committee as under formed for appraisal of
Project Action Plan.

DDO for the Mission Directorate will be appointed by Tripura
Rubber Mission from PSUs of Tripura.
Dr. V.K. Bahuguna, IFS, Addl. PCCF has assumed the charges of
Mission Director on 24th January, 2006 (Forenoon)
A short term plan for raising 8234 ha over a period of 3
